We don't go out to restaurants much, but we went to one in Maine last year where we shared a flat-bread pizza similar to this. We both loved it so much that I decided to create my own version of it. Its nothing fancy but it more than hits the spot.
Ingredients
Pizza Crust - Highly recommend at least two
5lb bag of Red Potatoes - Only use half for recipe
1 Can of French Cut Green Beans
Stir Fry Steak
Butter
Garlic Salt
Milk
Other than the Stir fry steak which I purchased from Walmart for just over $5, everything else was purchased from Aldis. I normally can make two medium pizzas out of these ingredients and since its such a filling pizza it lasts a lot longer than a normal pizza. It also heats up pretty well, so assuming my fiance doesn't binge eat it all in the night while I am sleeping, it can last us a few days.
The longest part of the process is the potatoes, you prepare them as you would normal mashed potatoes. I like to use almost an entire bag that way I can use the potatoes for the following days meal. After boiling and draining my potatoes I like to add a little milk, garlic salt and butter to taste.
Next I quickly fry up the stir fry steak in a frying pan until its brown. You can do this while the potatoes are boiling to save time. I then tear up the stir fry steak into pieces, I prefer smaller pieces on my pizza. You can easily tear the steak with two fork or even your hands.
I put a little butter and garlic on the crusts of my pizza and then I smooth on a layer of mashed potatoes with a fork. You can make it as thick as you like, the thicker the potatoes the more filling it will be. After loading on the potatoes I add the steak and french cut green beans to the top. I personally like to distribute them as evenly as possible but I like symmetry so feel free to just slop them on there.
Finally you put the pizza in the oven and cook at the temperature that the crust directions say. Mine was for 10 minutes at 425 degrees. Since everything other than the french cut green beans is already cooked you only have to worry about warming up the beans and getting a golden crust.
From start to finish it took me about 45 minutes to make two pizzas which were cooked individually since I need to invest in some extra baking sheets. Below is the finished result, the pictures really don't do it justice.
Tips:
A little steak goes a long way bag up the rest for a future day to use in stir fry.
If you only want to cook enough potatoes for the pizza half a bag will do.
Try adding different veggies such as broccoli and corn.
Always make two you will regret it if you only make one.

About Me
Hello everyone,
My name is Mandy Lou, I am 28 years old and decided to start this blog as a way to share some of my experiences. I am a new mom to a very handsome little boy named Harrison. I am also engaged to the love of my life, Harrison's Daddy, who I have been with for the past four years. To say we live on a tight budget would be an understatement. We both work but unfortunately do not make very much due to the job market in our area. Also the cost of living is a bit higher here as well. It is our dream to buy a small home that we can fix up and although we are trying to work towards this dream it probably wont be achieved until the distant future.
The majority of my posts will probably be about motherhood, frugality, paying off debt and working towards our goal of owning a home. I hope you enjoy reading it and look forward to hearing your feedback.
